Project Pink Foundation was founded in 2022 by a group of community members who recognized the need for a local organization dedicated to improving the state of women's mental health. Since then, we have grown into a thriving nonprofit, serving thousands of individuals.
Hello! My name is Gayathri Vanka, and I am currently a senior at Emerson High School. My path began with a stark awakening to the sheer inequity women encounter in their pursuit of mental health care, especially hailing from a city notorious for its lack of resources. Drawing from my passion for healthcare, advocacy, and the tapestry of my own experiences, I felt compelled to shift the narrative. Through Project Pink, I have found my voice advocating, raising awareness, and improving accessibility to women’s mental health care. Witnessing the positive impact our work has had on breaking stigma and uplifting communities is truly inspiring. I look forward to expanding our efforts to create resonating change. I'm thrilled to be part of this narrative, as we weave together stories of empowerment and rewrite the script for women's mental health.
Hello, I'm Sanjana Kavula and I am currently a senior at Emerson High School. My drive to initiate Project Pink was sparked by the recognition of the uneven availability of reliable mental health support for women, coupled with the widespread occurrence of mental health concerns. This, combined with the fact that Dallas earned the unfortunate label of the "worst city for mental health," motivated me to take action. Through Project Pink, our goal is to bridge this gap and ensure that women have access to the mental health care they require. In the future, I am excited for all of the projects we have planned!
